RAIN is breaking out đź‘€

Has catalyst to move higher. Chart inside.

My alert this morning, RAIN, is off to a great start currently up 15%.

And the volume is confirming the breakout.

Target, if you read this morning’s email was $5-$5.50.

This has a 1) catalyst 2) inside bar breakout (weekly chart below) 3) volume is building.

Excellent start. If you missed this morning’s note on why I think it’s about to really run, read below.

FULL email from earlier or 8:09 AM ET.

Good morning — Jason Bond here.

I think NASDAQ: RAIN is about to run.

Here’s the trade plan.

Finding small-cap swing trades on stocks under $10 is hard.

With thousands actively trading each day — how does one narrow it down?

  1. Catalysts

  2. Technical analysis

  3. Volume

This is what I teach in the $2,000 Small Account Journey.

Let’s look at RAIN this morning because I think I’ve spotted momentum BEFORE it happens.

CATALYST

A few weeks ago RAIN was notified by the NASDAQ listing qualification staff that the market cap needs to go up.

RAIN quickly responded last week that they were on it.

This is a catalyst.

We know the company plans to try and move the stock price up.

TECHNICAL ANALYSIS

Let’s look at the daily chart followed by the weekly chart.

Daily chart shows a big pivot point around $4 with range to $8.

With shares trading in the $3.80’s that’s double potential

I teach members to look for 20-30% within the range.

Get in, get out, get paid.

If the pattern breaks lower, the green line or 10-day EMA acts as the rough stop loss.

Weekly chart is easier to read.

After you look at the big bounce back in the Spring, turn your attention to the bullish engulfing candle to the far right.

It’s not only above the 10-day EMA but it closed at the highs. And it did so on light volume.

With a clear pivot point here and a known catalyst, all it needs now is volume and it could rip higher.

VOLUME

Knowing the company intends to try and get the price up, we might expect some good news from them soon.

This would likely bring the volume. With a tiny float that could often be too late.

Which is why I’d be watching a bid in the $3.80 - $4 range.

In fact, here’s a trade plan I like.

  • Buy zone: $3.80-$4.20

  • Target: $5 - $5.50

  • Stop: $3.50’s

Catalyst, check! Technical analysis, check! Volume, I think it’s coming based on the catalysts.

The spread premarket is wide so bidding $3’s is proper trading technique.

I only hit the asking price or “offer” if a stock is running hard and / or I’m not worried about the spread.

Bottom line, keep and eye on RAIN because I think it’s about to run.
